In the capitalist American regime they have a capital credit score where they track all your financial transactions and if you don't have a high enough score you cannot buy a car or a house, you cannot get good jobs, you may not be let out of the country and the police are more likely than normal to stop and arrest you for no reason.

While you're filing for bankruptcy you'll have a very hard time paying for things such as taxes and fines. You can be denied a passport for owing taxes, and if you get a fine while owing taxes or other fines you can be arrested.

Also travelling abroad or getting fines may cause your bankruptcy case to be denied because you're not being austere enough.

Edit: Also I was searching about this and apparently in Australia you're literally confiscated your passport if you file for bankruptcy :agony: .

If you travel overseas without permission, you are committing an offence under the Bankruptcy Act.

The penalties you could face are an extension of your bankruptcy for five years from your return date or you may be sentenced to a term of imprisonment.

If your trustee is concerned that you may leave the country, they can issue an alert to the Australian Federal Police, who will stop you at customs; and you may be arrested.
