the problem might be if you took something that was meant to teach you about social or political issues. In stem degrees they just talk about electrons or whatever all day and then let the industry/research/climate crisis/etc radicalise you. There's more communists in our physics department than the philosophy one lol; it's great, and also wildly depressing.
