I keep opening a thread and all the comments will constantly shuffle, and upvoting causes a comment to disappear somewhere else in the thread.

I try to sort by Top too and it will work for a few seconds before shuffling back to whatever default there is or New, despite still saying it's sorting by Top.

Miserable trying to read one thread on here.

hello! i've reverted the fix we attempted that appears to have made things worse. this should be live soon. it'll go back to the previous behavior, which isn't desirable either, but we have devs working hard to move to react where we can apply a proper fix :)

Would you fix the live sort happening when a user is typing a comment? I just wrote a reply and the thread resorted my text box off screen three times, that is incredibly frustrating.

we really would love to. we've dedicated quite a bit of time lately to building mod tools which has left some critical bug fixes falling to the wayside. we're in the process of merging the upstream code into our current code. once that's done, we can move forward with the react conversion for the frontend so we can have a wider span of tooling that we need to address live update bugs.

Not gonna lie I feel like user tools and eliminating bugs is WAY more important than mod tools when starting.

Like, I can use a usable site that has some unmoderated comments, this is chapo, I get it and can take it. The downvote system is a self-moderation system for that.

But a site that deletes your comment on thread auto-refresh or when you get a new inbox reply? Unusable.

No point in modding tools for a site with barely any users and shrinking daily, you know?

we were forced to dedicate time to that tooling to make it easier for moderators to handle the spam so that they can actually spend time promoting and posting on their communities.

please realize, all of the developers use the site too, we're just as annoyed by these bugs as you are.
