Counterpoint: some rich douche in Chicago accidentally sent me $100 on Venmo and didn't notice so now I have $100 for communism things
"yeah, that's right. no. 1 pooper in the neighborhood, top ten in the city. cope and seethe you pants-sharting losers. you all basically have IBS compared to my chiseled, perfect bowels."
Irrelevant! The option should not exist at all! The idea of something like a Facebook feed of people sending money is absolutely pointless and useless and ridiculous. It should not exist.
why are there so many "send money to friends for free" apps anyways?
Venmo PayPal (which owns Venmo) Google Pay Snapchat Facebook Zelle
probably more I can't think of
transaction fees are big business, and feature bloat of an existing social network allows you to better lock in users
I can see the existing social network part of it. But she you send money to "friends" there's no fee. I guess if they get you to use one app there's a chance you might start a business on it and they'd have you pay a fee then?
