Had to pee real badly right in the middle of the process.

Let’s just say I now know what having a terrible STD feels like.

    Urgent questions:

    1. What's your salsa recipe
    2. What were the two things Sisko did wrong

One time I made a shitload of food including this really spicy basil and yogurt sauce for my parents and their friends. I left in a hurry after I made it to meet some friends because I was little peeved since the meal was sort of a surprise and I'd already had plans. So I got over to my friends' place and we went to pick up some beer. As I was paying, I wiped my eyes and realized pretty quick that I hadn't washed my hands after making the sauce. Yeeeow! We finished getting out of the store and at that point I was pretty much entirely blind and unable to open my eyes from the combination of basil and jalapeno oil. My friends managed to guide me back to their place so I could wash up and rinse my globes. I laughed my ass off the whole time and while it hurt like hell, I did get pretty high afterward from the pain. One of my treasured memories and some of the best fun I've had.

Gloves are your friend. Washing your hands won't cut it! If you do make the mistake of skipping gloves, wash your hands with oil then soap then water at least a few times. Weird as hell, but licking your clean hands with your tongue to find out if they're still spicy is better than finding out the other way!

You can use a little soap-shaped stainless steel thing to get it off and that works pretty well.

Also, latex gloves don't quite cut it, the only ones that totally block capsaicin are nitrile gloves

I had gloves on chopping Jalapeños the other day. Took the gloves off and touched my eye. It was at this point I realized there may have been a hole in my glove. It was not pleasant. I can only imagine what would have happened if it had been an actual hot pepper. I have a Devil's tongue (red variety) in my garden. I'd probably have gone blind.

I think it was pepper geeks who had a video for a mango habanero and it looked so good... definitely going to be planting a bunch of different peppers next season
