    How to have something better than palatable instant coffee anywhere in the US...

    1. Put coarse ground coffee into French press.

    2. Add boiling water.

    3. Press.

    4. Wait a few minutes. Some sites say 3 minutes. Others say 4.

    One site said:

    Heat the water to boiling, then cool for 1 minute.

    I guess I'm a barbarian - I've never let it cool.

    I'm super-lazy but using a French press is the easiest thing in the world. And my cheap ass even finally bought a coffee grinder to make buying whole beans online a snap.
