I kinda think anyone who is playing historical grand strategy is prone to be in some sort of weird political/history fandom. And that said, any game that has NAZI GERMANY as a playable country is gonna attract Nazis.
How do people feel about slavery being a condition in Victoria 3? Rascists will definitely play the game for that reason alone, but it does portray slavery more accurately than HoI4 does the Holocaust, a game where you can keep Hitler safe from an SS coup
