Some of this is just Normal America Politics. Biden's Not-Trump appeal sags the farther Trump sinks into the Memory Hole.

But I can't help think his inability to fucking do anything is hurting his base of support, while the persistence of economic problems is hurting him among the politically apathetic.

As time wears on, "you just can't change everything right away" also becomes a less tenable excuse.

Kids are in cages on Day 1 of Biden’s presidency? Sure, releasing people in a way that wouldn't create a bunch of other issues might take a little. But when they're still in cages on Day 350?

Impossible to not notice that the approval rating has a steady rate of decline, while that disapproval rating jumps way tf up when, I presume, the media was whining and crying about leaving Afghanistan.

    This sucks.

All I hear from neoliberals and pod jon style people is that actually this is totally unfair and the people that actually vote for you should have their expectations managed better. No exaggeration or joke, just openly admit the point of neoliberal bourgeois "politics" is not to manage the distribution of goods or provide for the masses but to manage peoples expectations and get your bag and feel like you did something useful at the end instead of having another turn on the trammel of archimedes.

He's only been in office for 9 months, wtf did you expect, Jack, a miracle? By not appointing a commissioner to the FCC the agency will be controlled by Republicans is a small sacrifice to make to get the 6 trillion 3.5 trillion 1.5 trillion dollar infrastructure bill passed. :DaBiden:

It's not even gonna be 1.5 trillion, its gonna end up being nothing or means tested so much that no one will actually benefit while conservatives get to complain you spent any money at all.

I don’t understand how they don’t get this by now. Well, I do understand, it’s that they also don’t want to do good things, and get to say “Oh darn! The conservatives stopped us again!” if they pretend they don’t understand.

But this happens every time! In order to get something actually valuable passed, start the budget for said project at like, 100 trillion dollars a year, and tell them to compromise down from there.

He had consistently pretty okay approval, but then he had the temerity to embarrass America by ending a barbaric forever war.

Liberals write that off by saying that while Americans don’t like congress, they supposedly love their local representatives.
