What’s the quickest way for you to get new roommates, or a new place to live? What obstacles are preventing that from happening? If it’s just sympathy you’ve misplaced it.

Unfortunately, and I say this as somebody who has been homeless, you’re going to have to go through the painful experience of putting yourself first. It’s going to feel bad to be “selfish” and “self-confident”, and the people who will be hurt (the ones who are hurting you right now) are of course all victims of the same system.

These problems are terrible, the social relations you’re stuck in are terrible, and those determine your reality, but they’re not actually unsalvagable. You need to survive to help them. Don’t kill yourself over getting manipulated into buying some poor assholes weed and Chipotle.

You have a gift. You have a chance. If anyone in that living arrangement is going to get stable and help the poor, guess what? It’s you. You are weapons-free and justified to hurt their feelings when it’s time to survive.

I will send you aid at the start of September

There’s plenty of rooms for rent in Oregon. Find one that you want, one that you can afford and maintain by October on your own pay, and we can do a mutual aid thing to cover any shortfalls in the moving process.
