As far as anime being used as a propaganda tool, I'd say it's not as bad as the actual anime about the JSDF where they invade (sorry, do a "humanitarian intervention" in) the isekai world, gun down local soldiers by the thousands (who of course simply charge and try to stop the bullets with their shields), win over the locals with how cool and honorable they are, and, of course, have a bunch of local women fall head over heels for their soldiers and start marrying them.
Even worse when you realize there is fanfiction that "fixes" this by... replacing the JSDF with the US military instead.
