What blows me away about this stuff is that we have some pretty fucking extensive information about what a mass extermination looks like. It's a huge goddamn operation with a hell of a lot of unique logistical challenges. If you have even the slightest familiarity with the history of the Holocaust you ought to know this. Like how the fuck do you dispose of millions of corpses? It's not easy, and a decomposing human body becomes a biological hazard within about a day.
So in order to buy this story, we not only have to believe that the Chinese government has replicated this feat in a much shorter amount of time than the Nazis did, but that they have also somehow kept it hidden. It's just ridiculous on its face. Where are the aerial photographs, where is the smoke from the incinerators, where are the massive stockpiles of quicklime that would be required, where is the transport network, the rail cars, basically anything you would associate with an operation of this scale and complexity? China isn't that fucking big that they could hide something like this. Also, the question that no one has even bothered to offer an answer for: why? What could they possibly get out of doing this?
So many of these stories can be debunked if you just think about them critically for a minute. So you're telling me DPRK citizens believe that Kim Jong Il never took a shit, huh? They're probably making this new shit up by asking how many people in a small sample size have been to a camp or know others who have been, and get high proportions. So they widen the proportion again to draw ridiculous conclusions about how 80% of an ethnic group are in camps.
Whats probably actually happening is that these Uighurs are forced to attend a job training program for a certain amount of time a year and rotate out on a large scale.
There's a non-zero chance that the people who believe this shit would believe The Protocols of Zion if "the Jews" were replaced with "the Chinese".
