According to the dossier she prepared, an interviewee on the Marketplace program said China is continuing to have lockdowns because the vaccine they're using doesn't work.

I'm mostly an idiot. Adult life has severely atrophied my brain, so I'm just gonna assume I'm not being lied to.

My parents are libs, but I'm pretty sure my dad has never heard NPR, and the one time my mom heard it was my fault. But my in-laws fucking love it. There's even rituals around it. Did you know that if you're a true NPR head you have to listen to it on Thanksgiving so you can hear them play the entire Alice's Restaurant album? Why the fuck would you do that to yourself?

This is the type of cringe that’s powerful enough to tear the fabric of the universe

I'm thankful they're not at that level, just at the "mandatory Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" weekend ritual stage

Fair enough, at least with Fox I won't feel the need to point out the subtleties of how everything they're saying is framed disingenuously at minimum

Ceasing to listen to NPR was one of the best decisions I've ever made for my mental health.

I still listen to it when I'm bored in the car but only to get a grasp on whatever dumb shit the libs are focused on that week. My favorite reoccurring segment is when they go to Miami and ask the folks there what their thoughts are on the Cuban protests or whatever

Last time I gave it a try it was for that reason: "What are the lib big-brains vomiting up now?" It only led to me to become extremely enraged for however many minutes I listened to it. I would say the foreign coverage is the worst, but most of the domestic stuff is just as poisonous.
