Liberals see history as a series of discrete events, rather than a continuous stream of cause and effect. So of course they think that once le Cheeto is out of the White House, everything will be ok
2020 is like when you have to go across the river to some weird, flirtatious girl's house to get a 4 talent loan at 50% interest every semester to afford tuition at the university, but you have to spend it on a lute but then, as you're trying to make a living by playing in front of a crowd, a rich nobleman's failson uses magic to split one of your strings so you have to finish your set with only 6 strings.

You don't even have to go that deep to see why this analogy sucks. The year with the dementors was probably Harry's safest year as a student (yeah he was attacked by dementors and a werewolf but voldemort literally tried to murder him every other year. The only evil dude that year hung out in his dorm the entire time and fled immediately after getting caught without even trying to attack Harry)
unless this is some meta commentary on how the average student probably only cared about not being able to go outside because of the dementors and ignored the fact that there was an immenent threat of an evil superwizard (just like libs think Trump is the root of all problems and all of our problems will go away once Biden wins and covid is defeated)
