Struggling to find a way for this comment not to sound cheesy but I really like this community
I'm floored by the stupidity of the people making fun of the "is math real?" girl. She's like 16 or something and is independently coming up with the idea of epistemology while doing her makeup and people have the balls to be like "I'm a scientist and the whole universe is math obviously". We need re-education camps for epic stem guys where they have to read continental philosophy.
The NBA going on strike is fucking awesome. Given the players create a lot of the value (can’t forget the arena staff, airliner workers, other workers, etc) in professional basketball, this is absolutely huge. It’s especially remarkable how the teams at the forefront are the ones who have the best chance of winning a title. Bravo
Kenosha police are making the argument for defunding or abolition much stronger. They are explicitly running cover for a double homicide.

The level of passive speech is disgusting, you usually only get that for cops. They see that turd as one of their own.

If they won't accept defending legally they'll have to live with what's coming
I long for the days where I can make an anti-italian joke in a reply section and get 500 upbears again
3 months into the protests and the shit is more tense than ever
Who would've thought civil war 2 would kick off in the cheese state lol
Good on you for taking the constructive criticism and fixing it, bb. So wholesome. ❤️❤️
LA protesters are kettled in a tunnel, situation is getting really bad.
They’re doing this to create a tense situation where they’ll be justified in retaliating right?
Why would a group of protestors walk into a tunnel? They basically kettled themselves
The term leftist is effectively meaningless, co-oped by radlibs into a synonym for liberal. Lame
claim it the fuck back, even liberals don't want to be considered leftists.
It's not unprecedented. We beat them before, we'll beat them again.
Questions from a Worker who Reads
Bertolt Brecht, 1935
Who built Thebes of the 7 gates ? In the books you will read the names of kings. Did the kings haul up the lumps of rock ?
And Babylon, many times demolished, Who raised it up so many times ?
In what houses of gold glittering Lima did its builders live ? Where, the evening that the Great Wall of China was finished, did the masons go?
Great Rome is full of triumphal arches. Who erected them ?
Over whom did the Caesars triumph ?
Had Byzantium, much praised in song, only palaces for its inhabitants ?Even in fabled Atlantis, the night that the ocean engulfed it, The drowning still cried out for their slaves.
The young Alexander conquered India. Was he alone ?
Caesar defeated the Gauls. Did he not even have a cook with him ?
Philip of Spain wept when his armada went down. Was he the only one to weep ?
Frederick the 2nd won the 7 Years War. Who else won it ?
Every page a victory. Who cooked the feast for the victors ?
Every 10 years a great man. Who paid the bill ?
So many reports.
So many questions.
So irritated at the guy who graffiti'd the synagogue in Graz and attacked the chair of the local Jewish community with a wooden stick. (A table leg?) He can claim it's anti-Israel all he wants, but man, go graffiti the Israeli embassy then, not the synagogue that was only rebuilt 20 years ago after having been burnt down in the Pogromnacht.
