This is a bit of a message to the few people on here who are in on a joke. If you don't get it, that's ok.
As an avid member of the BreadTube community and a member of this community in specific since it was just a little subreddit I feel mixed feelings of nostalgia (As in the very literal combination of (nóstos, “returning home” & álgos, “pain”). I have worked to distance most projects of CC and adjacent groups from here as we hired more broadly. We started this covert collaboration from past mistakes with certain individuals (not naming names besides a certain Daily Stormer "satirist" because fuck them). One of our members has also caught flack for her anti-vaxxer viewpoints recently and on here specifically we see the fizzing out of sabotage. This short essay here is basically a reassurance to all of the good folks in Hexbear and the communities adjacent that we will not hold any of this against them if and when their noble spirits lead them to the same places that we did. They are welcome and encouraged to leave if they no longer believe that what they are doing is right. What may come of this white paper is yet to be determined as long as it doesn’t become a divisive issue for us. In the recent years we have had to deal with the exploding demands of newer groups without any direction. They are completely unbeknown to us and any member of CC who goes onsite, provides a service, builds things, etc. is somewhat protected from issues with the greater community. To the extent we can avoid being involved with this completely open market will assist in allowing newer groups to grow as organic and free as possible. If the white paper turns out to be anything other than a generic information dump it will be used as a shield to shield us from similar fate.
