The USPS notes that only one order can be placed per residential address regardless of how many people live there.

“Please check with others in the household to determine if someone else placed an order,” the USPS said. “Once someone has successfully placed an order for a valid residential address, orders cannot be submitted again for that address. This increases the opportunity for others to access these free tests.”

The Postal Service said if an address isn’t registered as a multi-unit home, it could lead to problems with placing orders, CNBC reported. A spokesperson for the USPS told WCVB that “this is occurring in a small percentage of orders.” The USPS said service requests for these issues can be filed on its website.

There's little information other than that. I have zero idea how my landlord has this place registered, but I'm not sure if he wants me contacting the fucking USPS to re-register his property for him lmao

Why are we doing this per residential address and not per household again? Are we doing anything about people with multiple properties being able to order more than 4 then? No?

I also don't even think this is the issue, as we get mail that shows the apartment it belongs to.

Because middle class white people live in smaller family units and poor and POC tend to live more in group living situations or generational homes

It's just a matter of the odd differentiation between household and residential address.

That stipulation doesnt exist on any other benefit or service lol. It's almost like healthcare necessities shouldn't be determined by the post office.
