I think giving the commerce secretary a headsup regarding decriminalization or descheduling since they would need to ask businesses on the effects it would have on their marketshare, competition, taxes etc.
I've always thought that the chance Biden would decriminalize it was zero. Not for example a 1 in 1,000 chance but dead zero. But you make a very good point that I didn't even consider.
I'll be paying more attention to the commerce secretary. Who knows what the future holds? Biden's polling numbers with young people are terrible and I assume the White House is ignoring that because they rarely vote in midterms anyway. But if his approval rating gets to some "break the glass" number among the young folk maybe there will be a chance for decriminalization. And it will be even greater than 1 in 1,000.
