“I have no problem with looting,” said George Carlin on a panel with Bill Maher (when he had a little bit of class conscience) about New Orleans in Hurricane Katrina. Then goes on to say that “the real looting that goes in in this country is the upward transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich.”

He rips the shit out of a little mealy-mouthed RW think tank schmuck too.

George Carlin immediately calls for George W. Bush to commit ritual suicide :sicko-yes:

And then the next thing he says is "it shouldn't be a surprise that rich white men don't care about poor black people" this owns, how can right wingers ever claim this guy

I don't know that I trust past Maher any more than present Maher with having had any kind of class conscience, but just look at the rage and disgust oozing off of Carlin! He looks like he is close to physically attacking that guy.

Shit, Bill Maher used to have semi-decent politics. What a sellout.

Bill Maher used to act like he was the smartest guy in the room as a bit. In his early standups he was smug but still - at times - self-deprecating.

Once Maher became never-have-to-work-again rich with the HBO specials and show he started believing his own schtick.
