Shit, Bill Maher used to have semi-decent politics. What a sellout.
Bill Maher used to act like he was the smartest guy in the room as a bit. In his early standups he was smug but still - at times - self-deprecating.
Once Maher became never-have-to-work-again rich with the HBO specials and show he started believing his own schtick.
