It's a little funny to me how quickly streaming services turned right back into cable TV. I'm reminded of all the low-budget TV adaptations that would come out. Some were better than others but it was more or less the same thing.
That's been the joke for a while now. One good hour of content gets made and then you get 10,000 hours of knock-offs trying to ride the wave. The only firm I've seen that really gives a shit about piracy is Disney, and even that's perfunctory. Its not like they're worried about the One Big Movie of the Year getting snapped up and distributed by The Pirate Bay a week before the box office release. They're going to churn out a new thing every week, and you'll pay the subscription fee to keep up with it all or you won't.
