I know that Latvia technically tried to to build an empire, but honestly I don't think it had any measureable impact on their society. Even their racism seems more anti-soviet than colonial, and their holdings were wiped out by the British and French anyway, so it's not like they did a lot compared to those two.

They really do. A lot of Lithuanians living as expats in my country. Mention Russia to any of them and they go on rants. It's not limited to boomers either. Even the younger generations loathe Russia.
