    Seen on world news, on a thread about China condemning NATO for provoking this war: EmbarrassedRol -17 points 2 hours ago It's actually true that the west did this. Russia has been saying this is the red line since the 90s. West is either stupid or they have been ignoring all the red flags. Imagine China befriend with Canada or Mexico and start building Chinese military base next to America.

    I guess we're completely ignoring all the invasion and assassination attempts against Cuba? Or the fact that when this happened in reverse we were fully prepared to annihilate the planet over it and the Soviets and Cubans backed down to prevent that? Am I going crazy or are libs totally ignorant of history?

          Yeah I’m probably doing comics a disservice what I meant to say it’s just good guy vs bad guy, and if good guy did bad things well either those other people deserved it (Hiroshima) or we just aren’t going to talk about that (the Philippines)

            Americans arent taught a lot of things with suitable depth, believing there’s a single badguy in this just because a consensus was reached in advance is as far as any american will look into this or anything

        I mean, it's one thing to say "it's okay when we do it" but it seems like this person genuinely thinks we weren't ready to go to war over Soviet missiles near our borders.

        Like, I guess that I understood that my ideology was totally at odds with most other Americans, but it's weird to see my perception of objective facts be different also.
