Save the energy for well-meaning centrists, liberals, and soft conservatives that don't seem to base their value system on imperialistic thinking--so at least you know you're speaking honestly and in good faith
But otherwise, just make sure you have surplus water, surplus nonperishable food, basic medicine, ways to charge your devices, keep your gas tank topped off as much as possible + have a gas can at home, have a system to check on your friends/family, so on and so on
