To make this extra clear, the F22 is an actual modern warplane. The f35 is a giant transfer of money to the military industrial complex, a plane that can't actually fight off a real enemy but it can bomb the shit out of whatever poor schmuck the US wants to kill that day.

By not buying the F22 and focusing on the f35 the Americans are making it abundantly clear they are not building weapons to defend themselves but are building weapons to oppress others.

The F22 is a plane vs plane type of fighter, it's purpose is to defend against an enemy that can genuinely hurt the people of the United States (China and Russia mostly). The f35 is only good at bombing poor people who opposed American imperialism in some way (good or bad).

By getting rid of our f22s Ava buying more f35s the American administrations are making it abundantly obvious that the American government has no care whatsoever in defending it's people from attack (aka the entire point of a military) and only cares about subjugating people around the world (or in America itself).

This is one of the most obvious and impossible to deny arguments I've seen when it comes to convincing normies (yes I hate that word too) of what the actual goals of US foreign policy are I know it may seem obvious to some of you but it really isn't to them having grown up in propaganda daily.

You say that the F22 is a modern warplane, people below say it can only fly once a week. Which one is accurate?

Lol both of those are very accurate. Modern shit on those planes is very maintenance intensive.

It seems the Air Force wants to be rid of the F-22:

“By about the 2030 timeframe, you’re talking about a 40-year-old platform [in the F-22], and it’s just not going to be the right tool for the job, especially when we’re talking about defending our friends like Taiwan and Japan and the Philippines against a Chinese threat that grows and grows,” Hinote told Defense News in an exclusive May 13 interview.

This Quora post has also some interesting context:

the F-22 fleet was not produced in sufficient quantities to replace the F-15, and therefore its logistics and supply chain do not benefit from economy of scale as much as jets like the F-16 and F-35.

the F-22 was designed primarily for fighting in Europe and turn of the millennium era threats, and so its combat radius of approximately 590 nautical miles (less with any use of supercruise) is not ideal for a war with China

the F-22 is considerably hampered by old ADA code with limited modularity, being run on old processors. Because the software isn’t very modular or open, adding a new sensor requires a lot of extra work. For the F-22 to outperform jets like the J-20 into the 2030s and beyond, it needs to keep up by getting a helmet mounted display, a panoramic cockpit display, updated electronic warfare systems, long range infrared sensors, updated communications systems, improved sensor fusion and combat ID systems, etc.

So in other words, it is a jet built for a different time/enemy, wasn’t built in sufficient numbers to be economical to keep running, and wasn’t built in a way to be modular with avionics upgrades. Yet another classic defence procurement folly.

It really reads like they're more concerned with the cost. Which is hilarious when you consider the cost of the f35. Even with whatever sensor packages the f35 is a piss poor replacement if you're fighting China or Russia.

I think it's just far more likely that the US isn't planning for actual wars with like-in-power enemies but instead is planning their military around more iraq-like subjugation.

Basically they're not planning to defend the lives of the American people from attack, but they're planning to enforce American control on poor insurgents worldwide.

At least in the past the MIC had to at least pretend that it was doing what it does to defend Americans. Now they're dropping even that facade.
