No pretty much everyone bathes, the idea that Europeans didn't is mostly made up, and where it's not made up I think it only applies to a few decades in the 18th century, and then only to certain parts of France. Public baths were popular from the moment the Romans introduced them and remained a thing after that, saunas have been a thing for centuries, and from what I understand swimming and bathing in ponds were popular activities throughout the middle ages.
