I found this place from dev.lemmy.ml. did the subreddit get banned? Why? I guess I'll figure it out.

We got too popular. Some whiny bougie libs even made a podcast about us.

Chapochat is the lemmy website of a communist discord of the banned demsoc subreddit of a socdem podcast made popular by a liberal presidential campaign. Judging from that trajectory, this is the most communist place in existence. Or perhaps it looped back around to liberalism

A left wing comedy podcast became popular during 2016 election. A subreddit was created for it and it was full of memes. People who never listened to the podcast joined the subreddit for banter and it kind of spiralled off into the home of the ‘dirtbag’ left on reddit. The sub got banned because reddit had to do a ‘both sides’ thing when they banned The Donald. Some libs learned to code and made this website.

It was, as far as I can tell, the largest English speaking online leftist forum. Or at least the most active.

This really popular Discord group ended up having a Podcast and a Subreddit named after them.
