Like legit, chapo.chat feels so much smoother to traverse with, and it's aesthetics are so much more pleasing to the eye to look at. New reddit UI is absolute eye cancer to look at. Of course there are bugs and certain issues, but seriously good fucking job, devs. Also, more evidence that worker co-ops work.

Quick edit, but my title is inaccurate. THANK THE LEMMY DEVS FOR THE UNDERLYING TECH. As Beatnik said in the comments, the Chapo Devs also did a huge amount of work on the front end experience as well as other important functionalities, so THANK THEM AS WELL.

I think that we can do a lot to curb that by responding with compassion and patience when appropriate, and using the tools we have in place and our lovely cop mod friends to deal with people who just want to fuck up our chill vibes

Idk if it's because chapo.chat is still quite small relative to what r/cth was or because of the inherent solidarity/appreciation for what we had once the subreddit was banned, but I've noticed a lot less sarcasm, cynicism, infighting and much more comradely behavior here. Unironically makes me really hopeful. Revolutionary optimism.
