For me it's anything involving cars or horses, also american football, and sumo, how about anything in general that intentionally harms the players health just by playing?

Boxing/MMA. There's no reason for two human beings to try to beat one another to death in the name of "sport".

You have the right to think "it's fucking fun" and I have a right to think that means you're someone I don't want to be within 100 feet of.

Wanting to do harm to or witness harm done to another for the sake of entertainment is sociopathic.

Are we banning fencing too? Cause fencing is also really fucking fun, you're just trying to stab your opponent the whole time

With a blunted foil, tons of padding and a mesh face mask. I'm really disturbed by how many people here think violence for entertainment is a good idea. All ethical issues aside, violence is sometimes necessary, and the impact of it is lessened when it's engaged in for entertainment. There is nothing normal or healthy about wanting to watch one human smash another's face in. Let down by this place again.

I wrestled back in high school, and it's fun as fuck. Combat sports are one of those sports where you have to really dig deep in yourself to face adversity and come out victorious. When you lose, it's on you, and when you win, it's all you. Watching people train their entire lives to lay it all out in the ring for glory is spectacular imo.

MMA could potentially be reformed / adapted to be closer to wrestling again. boxing is pretty focused on headshots and I don't see how it could be fixed, though.

I've done both slap and bare knuckle boxing in my past life. There are a lot more body shots in both of them, so you might be onto something

Yes in terms of concussions and brain damage the less hand padding the better. Mma is safer than Boxing, bareknuckle is safer than mma

I support people's right to do edgy shit if they want

90% of the sports I play are combat sports. Love it all.

Even fighting sports like Greek wrestling?

Where you're just pinning someone to win not beat them to death? It's more homo erotic than violent (thanks, Greece). Has a low barrier to entry (no fancy gear required, much less classist), reasonable self defence technique as well (you're pinning an assailant down till help arrives, not giving them permanent brain injury). Full body exercise. Did I mention the homo eroticism?

Hand to hand combat should strictly be taught by the military and not advertised at all (assuming we have achieved luxury gay communism of course)
