I recently read Zizek's book Disparities, and while I thought it was interesting and was able to understand a few different threads of his thought, I never felt like I understood his writing in a way that could be distilled into a few clear axioms.
I think most of the prominent schools of thought in philosophy can be reduced, somewhat reductively, to a few sentences that summarize their essential character. Anyone think they can do that for Zizek?
Of course, I could be giving Zizek too much credit. I may not have seen a unifying quality to his ideas because there really isn't one.
