It's a step beyond and I can't help wondering if they're ok or if something pretty bad is going on for them to drive the final outburst. The last stuff seems like acting out to me, and people only act out in my experience when something else is going on.

I think he'd recently become unemployed, not sure if that was a cause or part of whatever's going on with him.
