I think it was smart the order they did them in too. Pretty much everyone in the US now thinks the Iraq war was bad, so it’s not too hard to get people to listen to just how bad it was. Then Cuba which Americans dislike but know a bit about what happened, at least the Cuban missile crisis, and they’re not nearly as demonized as the DPRK. And now Korea, a war which most Americans know nothing about and a country we’re told is the most evil country on earth.

It really shows the mania the country and the US political community was in after 9/11 and the end of the Cold War, where the state convinced themselves that their hegemonic power was limitless and invincible.

The hubris of the Bush administration proved to mark the beginning of US hegemonic decline.

You're in luck, because season 2 is a big jump in quality as well. Good show for people who are new to lefty podcasts.

Yeah I feel the same way, kinda feels like the 'laugingh with my friends, they're just out of frame' meme. Not to mention there are just too many podcast, so its nice to have some actual quality instead of some dude telling a story how 'ya know dem piramids' and the host going 'whoa' after the most banal thing the guest says.

It's the perfect podcast to either learn why everyone hates America, or actively seethe about America if you already hate it

    Death to America

It's one of my instant favorites and I introduced a coworker to it this week.

I just wish Brendan wouldn't try to do the whisper/ASMR voice, it has the opposite effect on me.

Currently on episode 6 of the third season. No spoilers, BUT after I die I'll take a trip into Hell so I can find Douglas MacArthur and fucking eat his goddamn soul. :stalin-gun-1::elmofire:

Almost caught up with We're Not So Different and will need another podcast to binge. I may just be dreaming this but I think the person that mentioned it here is one of the hosts.
