Not only is this rooting for the deaths of millions of people, but its also propaganda against China's energy independence and flood security programs. They have some pretty big roadmaps for hydropower and this propaganda is trying to say that Chinese dams are faulty, that if China is making huge advancements in building dams quickly and safely, thats a bad thing. That China should remain on coal and oil and that they shouldn't be taming the floods that have historically killed millions of people.

Actually, directing nature is bad in of itself. If it's God's will that a flood kills thousands, who are we to get in the way?

In response to a suggestion by Taiwanese netizens that Taiwan's missiles could be used to destroy the Three Gorges Dam in response to an attack by China, a military expert says they would only cause tiny dents and described those who proposed the idea online as "military idiots would will continue to be mocked by China,"

    Continue mocking, comrades.

It's essentially a mountain with a concrete candy shell on top. If humanity ceased to exist today, it would probably still be standing hundreds of thousands of years from now.

Yeah the plan is about as realistic as trying to take down the Great Pyramid of Giza with RPGs.

Also, even if Taiwan succeeds, they've just committed a horrible war crime and can't escalate further. They will not survive Chinese retaliation.

Didn't the Kuomintang do something like that and they still lost?

Ah so I guess they didn't really lose in that case, but it probably had repercussions.

that shit is being floating around in Taiwan fringe and not so fringe talk show for years. The jest is that Taiwan can acquire missiles in range of 3 gorges dam and use it as a deterrence

I like that there's one guy who sees how psychotic the comments are and says that there's some "subtle racism" mixed in.

OP of that thread is ontologically evil, really an entity devoid of soul. The idle sports posts mixed in with fantasies about millions of Chinese people dying really hammers home that this is the 4th reich and for there to even be a future we need a society that cannot produce more people like this.

Yup. If they’re losing the war, Taiwan has nothing left to lose. Also, if the dam is blown up, China would be in need of International support, but depending on how they handle Taiwan, they might not get any, and even if they do, it would come with certain conditions and China would probably refuse it out of pride.

Mfer thinks war is a video game where kill count is your objective.
