it’s closer to doing that and generally a material improvement for me and other sex workers, yeah. It’s also still a capitalist monster like every other big tech company.
Yeah it's a material improvement over other forms of sex work. As an outsider though, it seems like they're constantly trying to kick sex workers off the platform, every few months there some big controversy that makes it onto mainstream news and then a ton of people talk about moving over to different platforms, to the point that even me, who doesn't watch porn and use much social media, sees it all over social media.
Yeah it seems to me that they just want to burn though users and don't care about the long term welfare of the people that actually make the site profitable.
It's tough out there for sex workers online, I think even over a year ago most NSFW subreddits on :reddit-logo: banned people with an only fans immediately. I don't know what the situation is now, probably worse.
I don't think anything like real liberation is possible for sex workers under capitalism. In a vague sense I don't like the idea of sex work, but I know I have to fight anything opposing sex work because any crackdowns will hurt workers doing nothing terribly wrong, not the people I actually want behind bars.

they have been and it’s bullshit that they’d then turn around and do this to everyone they were also throwing out
:desolate:
these sites need to be worker owned and operated.
