To have any chance, they need to be ready to position themselves as the next domino, use Scotland and NI (and probably Wales) just having left to convince the people of the North.
I like that idea, and it seems most likely. It genuinely seems possible in the real world at some point, and that would probably be their best bet. Once those dominoes start falling, as with their first wave of imperial collapse, the momentum could be surprising even to the average resident of the Isles
