Hey ya’ll, so, I’ve been thinking. I’m in my 5th semester as a Sociology major with a minor in Fat Studies and it’s really put Fatphobia at the forefront of my mind. As a Fat person, sometimes it almost feels like my Fatness is even more alienating than my transness. I don’t feel comfortable or safe at rallies and marches and riots because there just ain’t much care given to Fat comrades. I’ve heard folks say stuff like “put her in front to absorb the rubber bullets” and other fashy stuff like that which is NOT OK especially from fellow comrades. I’m currently writing about how Fatness is in itself a protest against capit*lism and I wish this message was more known amongst the left. Maybe based on this we could get some more accommodations like slower moving phalanxes at protests and commitments to non-Fatphobic language by organizers. Fatness is a vector capitalism uses for oppression and Fatness very often intersects with Blackness and transness.

Peace y’all, and remember, Fatties Fight Fascism!

Yeah, even if this a troll post, so what? It's completely unacceptable for us to dismiss fatphobia, which is certainly a real issue.
