But consciousness among animals is well observed at this point, and I don’t think my slight semantic misstep negates that fact. link

Alright, I’ll take your point if we’re going by the literal definition of sapient, i.e wise or pertaining to humanity. But consciousness among animals is well observed at this point, and I don’t think my slight semantic misstep negates that fact.
