When imperialists colonize a place, the imperialists impose their culture upon the colonized, forcing the colonized to take up the colonizers' language, religion, and way of life. So the fact that despite colonizing half the world, what is called English cuisine hasn't spread beyond their settler colonies demonstrates that what is called English cuisine sucks so hard even the most brainwashed white-worshiping mentally colonized colonial subject don't wanna eat that shit.

It is extremely telling that the Engl*sh continually attempt to claim tikka masala as somehow an anglo invention.

in comparison, anywhere the french (:france-cool:) pillaged received the world’s shittiest consolation prize for being subjected to crimes against humanity: extremely skilled baguette equivalents

The easiest comparison is between Vietnam and Hong Kong. There are parts of Vietnamese cuisine that's clearly imposed upon influenced by the French like banh mi and coffee while Hong Kong cuisine is just Cantonese cuisine plus some Western style pastries thrown in.

Baguettes do rock, and the banquette has reached it's highest for min Vietnam, probably.
