Loading into the mission just before the Blackout kicks in :party-rocking:
I think the game is fairly clear with all of that but obviously bazinga brains will misread it. That is the thing with culture under bourg hegemony, at the end there is not loud enough message and we kinda have to live with that contradictory statements and like people will just be cynical memebrains as long as there is no convincing visible alternative
I honestly never picked it up. There's some grumbling about corporate but mining for exotic minerals while fighting weird monsters in incredibly hazardous conditions is almost literal the dwarvish conception of Heaven in some fantasy settings.
Plus, they're union and they have guns so how bad could it be?
Mission Control literally will take the minerals and leave you stranded to die if you dont get back within 5 minutes. "Pod will leave with or without you." Also them routinely threatening to kill you for messing around with barrels "Before Management asks me to flood the bay with radon gas." (May be a bluff) Also, if you drink the smart stout, the dwarves get class cosciousness Also the dwarves complaining about their equibment quite a lot Like the game is pretty on the nose that you are playing a chauvinistic dirtbag who is too jaded to notice being probably in cloning hell Hmm maybe not super obvious, but also less abstract than other games. It is not a speech from Lenin but it is better than most other shooters at this
I've kicked all the barrels into the launch bay and I don't think anything happens
No, but I dont think we are meant to see the guys threatening to gas somebody as neutral actors
You get an achievement, I am just not sure if there is jothing behind it at all or like in universe there is but they didnt implement it
DRG dwarves have a union though, so better conditions than like most jobs right now.
They also have guns.
If you have a union and you have guns how bad can your working conditions really be?
FOR ROCK AND STONE!!!
I love the game, its fun. I just wish I was in a space union or something.
Its a company union, literally controlled and operated by DRG iirc
Dwarf Communism is the best sect of luxury gay space communism
Seems like it, including all DLCs and multiplayer (likely on LAN or through self hosting a dedicated server for the latter).
Thanks. Multiplayer is what I'm looking for, so that's a bummer. Expected though.
I don't know how tech-inclined you are, but at first glance the crack goes through Goldberg Emulator - it emulates the Steam LAN/lobby feature. If you were to setup and configure a private VPN with friends (through openvpn, for example), and assuming there were all using a pirated version, it'd work fine.
I also suspect there must be more user friendly ways to open a remote "LAN" with friends available these days (transparently building a VPN), though I don't know them.
