I think that basing things off of 'genuiness' is as false a metric as 'authenticity' for art. I don't think it can be measured, which is what makes it special. Art alone is not revolutionary, but it can contribute or detriment to a vibe of revolution.
Although idk, I think what makes a serious revolutionary artist is a serious knowledge of history, but most artists, in my limited experience, tend to be too caught up in their own internal worlds (for better or worse) to be cognizant of their historical place.
