It also has hundreds of classrooms designed to look like traditional learning spaces from (nearly) every country of the world, but if I remember correctly most of the building higher than the 4th floor is unused as a classroom because they are not built to code. The inside is incredible gothic architecture, and inspired the design of a skyscraper in pittsburgh called the PPG building
PPG Place is so fucking cool. I'm trying to recreate Market Square in Hammer so I can make a gmod map (though I'm completely new to it). I dread the day when I eventually get to PPG Place.
Taking a trip to Pittsburgh this weekend, power to the Yinzertariat
The tallest academic building is horribly ugly. This is the library at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Edit: Never mind, it's the tallest academic library specifically, not tallest academic building. Also there's peregrine falcons that nest at the top and the nest box has a livesteam. The stream is down for the season though ):
I've been up there! It was raining when we went but up at the top it was snowing :3. Kinda neat to see, I hadn't thought about how depending on weather conditions you could have snowflakes which melt and turn to rain by the time they get to ground level.
