Anyone else ever had a warrant out for their arrest? Don't know how I should proceed next. I have a court date in two weeks, would rather just quash it there than pay bail money.

No idea how long it will take these pigs t show up knocking at my apartment door ready to take me in

Already have a fairly competent court appointed attorney. I just am trying to gauge whether I should turn myself in or try to stay out until my next court date. I can get bail money but I really don't want to spend it if I can take care of this at my court date on december 1st

you'll get the bail money back in 2 weeks when you show up, right?

No unfortunately. That's 500 bucks bondsman just gets to keep. If I was paying the full 5k outright it would be different and id get the money back, not so with bail bondsman

I would imagine that they wouldn’t show up at your place for something like that, and that’s just a “arrest this guy if you pull him over” type thing but idk for sure that’s just a thought

Word. I don't know how it will turn out. I mean i'll be fine, unfortunately ive been in the system before, I just do not want to deal with the counties bullshit around the holidays. If they come get me, they come get me and i'll cross the bridge when i get to it. Jail in the particular county i happen to reside in is never dangerous, it's just extremely fucking boring.

Assuming your warrant isn’t for like murder or something like that then I think you should be ok. Good luck with everything

Assume you're in the US. Bench warrants are common. They're more like red flags than arrest warrants. Police might use them to target you, like they would use a broken tail light, but I do not expect anyone will show up to arrest you.

If you get into an interaction with police and they pull your information they will have a reason to arrest you, regardless of why they stopped you. But I would not worry about turning yourself in if there is a hearing and you're planning to go to it.

Preciate this. Yeah I don't leave my house much other than to go to work. So not a lot of chances for them to pull me over and run my name.

Don't drive like a dumbass or do anything that gives cops an excuse to fuck with you then although it kind of goes without saying

Make a back up plan now in case you DO have to spend the next 2 weeks away. If you have anything that needs doing, cat/goldfish/whatever to feed. Other than that I'd say ask your attorney

It kinda depends on how you expect police to respond when they show up ngl and that really depends on parts of your case I ain't asking about
