What's strange is, unlike the Weimar cabarets, we've had drag shows for decades without any issues. I mean, religious conservatives never cared for them but it was never a major target or anything. Ru Paul's Drag Race was one of the most popular shows in the country!

Ru Paul's Drag race is also popular in the Red States and had its biggest opening numbers last year.

Same. I'm a gay guy and drag shows have never been my thing, but they've been going on for decades all over the country without major issue. It's a great example of how chuds can generate stochastic terrorism in just a year's time.

In the same way that trans women have been using womens' bathrooms for decades with no issues, chuds are really good at finding things that have been happening for a long time and acting like they're a scary new thing

This is all so surreal, on every level. Is this how it felt in the Weimar cabarets?

I really need to study what it was like in Weimar Germany.

(for the pictures https://www.advocate.com/books/2016/7/19/peek-inside-berlins-queer-club-scene-hitler-destroyed-it and https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2018/12/germany-berlin-gay-life/578653/ Brenda is nice, knowledgeable about that time period )

There was a lot of drag going on and not only small amounts of gay fun.
