I just finished AC7. I love the dissonance of anime bullshit being played completely straight. Gonna download and play another AC game, but would love to hear your thoughts and recs on similar vibes.

    Armored core and ace combat. Regarding the comment ace combat, but I have Armored core 4 ready to go on Xenia as my first in that series

      Have you played Project: Wingman? That's an indie Ace Combat clone that's really good.

        I own it, but haven’t played it yet. AC7 took an embarrassing amount of time to beat. I bet you know the missions that kicked my ass (I refuse to use the cheat planes, it took a long time but I finally beat it using only the SU platform…and warthog for the ground attack desert mission).
