it should be natural to live with your parents.

Idk maybe it’s just brain worms from living in capitalism, but I really like my parents and I would hate to live with them again. Even as an adult there’s a weird vibe with having your parents around, even though my parents and I just smoke weed in the living room. My relationship with them is also significantly better since I moved out.

its brainworms, also probably bad house design that doesnt have the idea of multigenerational housing in mind. multiple entrances and exits, plenty of parking, multiple living rooms, bathrooms. sometimes a second kitchen. ground level rooms for old people. stuff like that. everyone forks in to making it all better for the whole too with encouragements to modify the house to make it better for yourself and others.

Oh god adding the word “multi” makes it so much worse, living with my parents sounds shitty, ever seeing my extended family more frequently than every 2 years or so sounds far worse

my grandma is a communist so having her around is honestly a delight. she pops by for a couple years at a time but usually stays back in czechia. dads parents tend to stay in the place though, i dont notice them much they do their own thing. we have a frankly huge family thats everywhere. like i have maybe like 70 cousins lol

Ah yeah that sounds great. My grandma was a christo-fascist who donated to anti-lgbt causes and was obsessed with Joel Osteen. Thankfully she’s dead now.

Of the living ones we’ve got my mom’s abusive father and my ex-navy grandma who’s far and away the least bad, but her husbands kid’s a fucking cop.

The vast majority of my extended family are the shittiest christo-fascist southern white people you’ve ever met, so I hope you understand why living anywhere in their vicinity sounds like hell.

yeah i mean thats the thing though. we have a different culture. we're taught not to fuck with other family members and those that do that have a chance of being excluded. like i know some shitty christians in our family but if they fuck with me that gets on everyone's nerves. no drama allowed. helps that my commie grandma is the matriarch-in-charge and orders everyone around and supports me to the hilt.
