Even managers don't own the means of production - and defining the level of management where the threshold from worker to bourgeoisie is tenuous, in my opinion. I do believe that the strata of PMC is something, that higher paid management are demotivated from being revolutionary by higher pay, but that unless one owns the means, and actually has a say in the wages of workers and a share of profits, they are still part of the proletariat.
