Why has an anthropomorphic fish been harassing me and everyone else in my generation since I was 10? Piss off fish.

I often have to point out to my coworkers when they complain about gains made by fast food workers that fast food work is really hard. I wish I was so blissfully ignorant about life in the fast food world.

I worked catering during university and God damn if that doesn't make you understand why worker revolts happen and are justified nothing will

I knew some guys many years ago who robbed the fast food place they had worked at for a few years which had been bought by a franchisee. They subsequently fired everyone but didn't bother to change any of the security combinations, was hard to find fault with it.

Same! I'm a cook and am really fucking good at it and genuinely enjoy making food for people, I'm actually fairly highly paid for a line cook at $17/hr and a sales percentage tipout that usually comes to about $250-300 on the non lau week. Still doesn't cover much when rent alone is $1000

It's funny that the first one is go to college or you'll flip burgers because nowadays all the boomers villanize college as where the woke mind virus spreads and a useless waste of time that should be replaced with trade school.

i feel like this is just supply steering, like, when they're out of electricians they push people to go to electrician schools, when they're out of software developers they push people to learn to code, etc.
