It's a guaranteed certainty to happen, and it will smack him from left field when it does. Looking forward to the schadenfreude when that day comes.

Also Roiland's other show where he has complete control, Solar Opposites, is utterly unwatchable. Like its even more nihilistic and nasty than Rick and Morty. Whatever positive qualities Rick and Morty has, I can only attribute to Harmon and the writers Harmon gets.

Harmon is also problematic, though arguably to a much lesser degree. He sexually harassed a writer on Community (he apologized to her and she publicly forgave him, but still who knows if that forgiveness was just to avoid harassment from fans) and by many accounts he's a nightmare to work with.

Still, his work generally tends to be much less mean-spirited than R&M tends to be, much less Roiland's solo work.

Venture Bros died for this garbage to live and it pisses me off

Not like I never laughed at R&M but it was always a dumb guy's idea of what a smart show is while Venture Bros was an actual well written intelligent show

I fucking love venture bros. Been watching it for half my life.

Movies still coming to wrap it up afaik at least.

They really should do a comic book run though. The format is literally perfect for it.

I would love if they did comics and also sling the lines of some of the old Simpsons comics did by having Radioactive Man comics and stuff, have some issues be in-universe fiction. A Silver Age Rusty Venture cartoon tie in comic, Pyramid War comics in GI Joe Cartoon style, skies the limit.

That show was amazing, but I think it was killed by its own success. All the voice actors on that show ran off to do bigger things.

He's literally the worst part of the concept. Id probably still watch it if his fucking voice acting didn't have the same effect as nails on chalkboard to me.

The general concept was always neat, everything else just sucks

    edgelord futurama cmv

I tried to give it a go back when it was still kinda new, so many folks that knew I like futurama convinced me it was worth a shot

skipped out after the first episode, there was so little cleverness involved - just the asshole brain exploiting his young relative for no reason as far as I can recall

I enjoyed watching through Red Dwarf back in the 00s quite a bit which probably did a lot of these concepts as well. I think the campy low budget vibe also helped RD lean more into the conceptual aspects with a strong helping of self deprecating lampshading.

Nothing of R&Ms vibe carried that silly wholesomeness from the very little I came into contact with. Much more of a South Park vibe, which also was never really vibing for me.

e: and now that I think about it, both RM and SP are kinda known for being not good working conditions, like you can tell the craft isn't fun for the people working on it except maybe those at the top of the pyramid

I mean Rick was never supposed to be the good guy and the show signals it often but on the other hand they sure are taking their time with doing any actual character development on him.

I think at the begining that was their intention and then they just sort of decided that no rick's cool

maybe the writers don't agree on that point

I think they're just milking the show for what it's worth and then when ratings drop Rick will have a come to Jesus moment in the last few episodes and that will be it.

Given WB Discovery's recent track record, Roiland will probably be back on the show by the end of the year.

The answer is they already recorded all the lines and tbh speech synthesis is kind of at the point where they can just fake it

The problem with IQ is that we live in a simulation and the value is stored as a tiny int. If you get over 255, the number rolls back over to 0

I agree with Tom Piile on this one they should just let the show fucking die. Give the writers the budget for season 7 so they can make something that's new and not Justin Roiland expressing his id for a half hour at a time.
