    Be still my DIY heart! I can’t wait until I have a little garage or shed all to myself and I can do stuff like this. I built an entertainment console last year and having the entire dining room be a furniture construction zone for 3 weeks was… less than ideal

    Is it true that used pallets are generally very dangerous and soaked in carcinogens?

      You can tell if wood has been treated by the puncture marks along the outside, I can't say I've ever seen a pressure treated pallet as they're largely seen as disposable and don't usually have a long enough life span to justify the extra cost.

      While it's possible that a pallet has had carcinogenic stuff leaked onto it, it's not really likely.

      They should be labelled if the wood used for the pallet was treated with carcinogens. There's some good info online for identifying the type of wood used if it isn't labelled.
