The “lease” is perpetual and only the USA has a unilateral right to terminate it under the treaty that FDR forced upon the de facto US colony of Cuba. Cuba doesn’t recognize the legitimacy of the lease since it was a colonial extraction but what are they gonna do. link

Will they hand over the land to Cuba?
Surely the colonial era treaty port eventually gets restored to Cuba but it won’t happen anytime soon.
