The steel and aluminum tariffs are insane. We got rid of most of the American forges for Chinese imports, there's no other option.

Pretty sure China is the biggest aluminum producer and Russia is third biggest. I think the US was about 10th.

The Great Lakes are gonna be full of freighters, and there will be more accidents because of it. They're already running agound more than any other time in my life. The weather allows the shipping season to be longer, and in traditional capitalist fashion, the firms will overload ships to squeeze a couple more runs in before the ice closes the shipping channels and locks.

I also have my suspicions that the ports and rivers aren't being properly dredged because of cutbacks, and rollbacks of safety regulations, but that's all just vibes on my part.

Waiting for the gritty found footage horror movie called the legend lives on and every so many years, the ship comes back and takes another freighter to its watery grave

funnily enough, when I showed this to my left-leaning boomer parents, one of them was basically like "ya the same people/corps are telling both of them what to do"

These are clearly 2 different people, one is Joe Biden and the other one is President Biden. This is fake news.

I was actually thinking of updating it with [ CANDIDATE ] and [ PRESIDENT ] stamps respectively, showing how different the rhetoric is when in power versus when seeking it.

When China does it it's "dominating". When America does it it's "leading". biden-ok-smart-guy
