I didn't watch it but in my head the whole runtime is just him being islamophobic and that's why the Oscars gave him the award.

I watched it, and beyond being apologia for a racist stooge for Western imperialism, it was profoundly plodding and uninteresting. The climax is the team prank calling an FSB official who admits to the poisoning, which was already reported so it shouldn't have been such a surprise to most people. Then he returns to Russia to be immediately arrested as a "symbol of resistance" lmao. Some highlights:

    • A "self-funded" "data nerd" from Belingcat just shows up out of nowhere and helps Navalny and his team get all the info on the FSB, like wow what a great guy no need to investigate into his origins at all.
    • When pressed on being pictured with outright Nazis, Navalny says "In a normal political situation, I wouldn't be in the same coalition as Nazis, but I'm okay with it now because I believe in everyone having political representation."
    • Chernobyl radicalized his family into liberalism.
    • He watches Rick and Morty on the flight back to Russia.
